Enclosures
During my studies at West Dean College, I made various enclosure models to gain better hand skills alongside a better understanding of the preservation and storage requirements for objects and flat works.
For the book conservator, a deep knowledge about diverse types of enclosures is essential. This assists the conservator to take appropriate storage decision for each particular item, or to discuss about the needs of the objects with external professionals and suppliers.
